I used simple repeating flowers and leaves and then added the background that I made up on the spot. Perhaps someone already created a similar tangle, but I don't remember seeing it. It's completely colored because I can't imagine the Earth without all the beautiful colors of the nature.
I know, it's not much Zentangle like, but I still think it qualifies as Zentangle inspired.
very pretty... I like the background
ReplyDeleteWow, this turned out great! Love the colors you chose! I like the background you made, I am too new to this to know if it's already been "created as a tangle"... looks like you had fun! :)
ReplyDeleteSpectacular. Great color and your new creation is delightful.
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous tile!
ReplyDeleteVery nice!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty!
ReplyDeleteI love the colours. The background tangle looks like little buttons.
ReplyDeleteIt definitely qualifies as a ZIA. I like your statement about not being able to imagine the earth without color...me too! But my tangle is Blk & Wht!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty and nice shading!
ReplyDeleteThe colors are wonderful! I should introduce colors into *my* work more often. Was this done using Copic markers? It's lovely whatever you used. Diana
ReplyDeleteand it's beautiful! i'm really enjoying seeing color this week :). my piece is a zentangle-inspired one, too. so thanks for posting yours - haha! i'm not alone :) i like the shading you did, too!
ReplyDeleteWolfhowlings, the blacks might have been Copic multi liners, but I am not sure since I also use UniPin fine liners, too, and don't really pay attention to which one I grab. The colors are Faber Castell PITT artisan pens. They have a brush tip and they work well for me. I don't use markers enough to justify buying the expenisive Copics.
ReplyDeleteEveyrone, thanks for the sweet comments :)
This is very lovely!
ReplyDeleteLovely and it qualifies!
ReplyDeleteVery harmonic secondary color scheme! I think of your background as a tangleation of Sez, which features a scattering of dots and their auras. You utilized a scattering of dot triplets--things in threes are very pleasing. Lov the intense color in the shadows; really makes your image pop.
